The key term used for denoting joint pains and all other joint disorders is arthritis whose key symptoms experienced by the persons mainly include severe pain in joints and stiffness felt and seen in various joints. Apart from the above mentioned symptoms, the patients can also experience redness in the affected joints and even increased warmth in the affected joints. Some rare cases have also been seen where the patients get swelling and much reduced range of motion in the affected joints of their bodies. The onset of this arthritis problem can be gradual as well as sudden for the patient. This problem of arthritis at the shoulder is seen in the patient when the pain of arthritis is found to be affecting the acromioclavicular (AC) joint which is present at the top of the shoulder. This pain at the top of the shoulder is sometimes seen to be radiating or travelling to the neck. This problem of shoulder arthritis becomes more dangerous when rheumatoid arthritis has its pain throughout the shoulder when both the glenohumera and the acromioclavicular (AC) joints get affected. Such situations are known to make the person suffer from intense pains and difficulty in carrying out their daily chores.
